About Art & Soul
Art & Soul opened its doors in the Fall of 2005. The “Art” of Art & Soul is Gail Pommerening. She’s a pastel artist and framer. Sarah brings the “Soul” to the gallery’s name with her mission-based importing business. Also, Alma means soul in Spanish! Gail and Sarah truly enjoy their partnership and feel very blessed to be in business together.
About Gail
A self-taught artist, Gail Pommerening expresses her God-given talent in pastel paintings subtly touched with a feeling of soft romance. Her work is inspired by all things in nature, but Gail is especially fond of the birds and wildlife that reside in the rolling woodlands surrounding her home. Gail and her husband Ron live on a small farm near the scenic town of Plum City in Western Wisconsin. Gail’s subject versatility has led to nationwide sales of original art and limited edition prints.
About Sarah
Sarah Gailey enjoyed the International student population at college and participated in International ministry while earning a BA in Graphic Design. These relationships established her roots in what has now become her business. Sarah imports products from various countries, provides fair prices to the artisans while also giving back to group projects both domestic and abroad. Examples of projects include: buying a share of a deep well in Africa, supporting young girls rescued from sex trafficing in Asia, assisting Disabled American Veterens, supporting the work of Prision Fellowship Ministries, purchasing livestock for families in need, providing private tutoring and special attention for students struggling in school, supplying bibles and teaching materials to developing churchs and most recently donating toward relief work in Haiti. In addition to these projects, Sarah and her husband, Justin, sponsor two girls in Vietnam and a boy in Little Rock, Arkansas.
