Sarah Gailey’s mission-based imports include unique clothing items, silk scarves, purses, hand-made jewelry, handicrafts and numerous other treasures from around the world.

About Gail

A self-taught artist, Gail Pommerening expresses her God-given talent in pastel paintings subtly touched with a feeling of soft romance. Her work is inspired by all things in nature, but Gail is especially fond of the birds and wildlife that reside in the rolling woodlands surrounding her home. Gail and her husband Ron live on a small farm near the scenic town of Plum City in Western Wisconsin. Gail’s subject versatility has led to nationwide sales of original art and limited edition prints.

About Sarah

Sarah buys and sells products from various countries, providing fair prices to the artisans while also giving back to projects both domestic and abroad. Examples of projects include: buying a share of a deep well in Africa, supporting girls rescued from sex trafficking in Asia, purchasing livestock for families in need, providing tutoring and special attention for students struggling in school, supporting the work of Prison Fellowship Ministries, and donating toward relief work during times of natural disaster.

About Our Missions

At Art & Soul, “Every Purchase Impacts a Life.” A percentage of every sale is donated to a local or international charity. Whether it’s a large piece of artwork or a simple magnet you picked up as a vacation keepsake, your purchase has contributed to the well-being of someone else’s life.

Art & Soul currently supports the following missions and charities: Families in Vietnam (child sponsorship program), Dorcas Widows Fund (Uganda), El Refugio (Women’s shelter in Guatemala), J&S; Mission Imports General Fund (often used for emergency needs such as natural disaster relief), Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Children’s Cancer Research Fund, Freedom Honor Flight (sending American veterans to see their memorials in Washington D.C.), Season’s 4 Hope (local medical benefit fund), and Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center (local non-profit hospital).

The gallery has also held many fundraisers over the years to benefit various local and international endeavors. Money was raised to purchase new flags for a local veteran’s memorial: Wisconsin’s Fallen Heroes. A weekend gallery event in 2007 found sponsors for 6 children in Vietnam. Today, these children are thriving! Art & Soul helped to raise support for a new widow’s community building project in Uganda, and this community keeps growing in its facilities! Various events over the years raised support for the following local organizations: Friends of the Alma Public Library, Wings Over Alma: Nature & Art Center, the Alma Beautification Committee and the Alma Public Schools. In total, Art & Soul has hosted 19 successful fundraising events! Thank you to our gallery patrons for your continued support and generosity! We look forward to hosting our 20th event in 2015 in conjunction with celebrating our 10th year anniversary as a business in Alma, WI.
